Prêmios Billboard de Música Latina 2020: Nomeados, vencedores e performances

 

A premiação

A premiação da revista Billboard é uma das mais importantes e esperadas na indústria musical. O evento anual acontece desde 1989 e envolve centenas de artistas por ano. A sua versão que homenageia artistas latinos (Billboard Latin Music Awards) não fica muito atrás no quesito importância. Criado em 1994, o evento foi o primeiro na categoria a se dedicar a premiar apenas artistas latinos, o que nos mostra sua grandeza.

 

O tapete vermelho

Antes mesmo do evento começar oficialmente, os olhos já estão voltados para os artistas que vão chegando. A escolha do visuais de cada convidado e concorrentes é aguardada com ânimo e pode ficar marcada para o bem o para o mal. É de conhecimento geral que o estilo dos artistas de Reggaeton é marcado pela ousadia. Confira nas fotos abaixo algumas das escolhas fashion para a ocasião.

 

As performances

Este ano, a premiação aconteceu nesta quarta-feira  (21) após ter sido adiado devido a pandemia e contou com mais de três horas de apresentações. Entre elas, o grupo de pop rock mexicano Reik subiu ao palco com a canadense-colombiana Jessie Reyez pela primeira vez para performar sua melancólica canção Lo intenté todo. Já Carlos Vives investiu em um saudoso medley interpretando alguns de seus grandes sucessos como La Bicicleta, Pa' Mayté, La Gota Fría  e Cumbiana.

Tivemos ainda a dupla pop Jesse & Joy com sua inspiradora música Love (Es Nuestro Idioma) e o grande astro colombiano Maluma com seu último hit, Hawái, que pode ser conferido abaixo.

Ozuna, além de apresentar sua nova canção Gracias pela primeira vez na televisão, acompanhado no palco por seus dois filhos pequenos, também nos agraciou com um belo discurso em defesa das mulheres e nos alertou para o alto número de feminicídios no mundo. Em um segundo momento, o porto-riquenho cantou Despeinada e em seguida se juntou a famosa banda estado-unidense Black Eyed Peas para cantar Mamacita. Confira todos estes momentos nos vídeos abaixo.

Além de ganhar um prêmio de Artista Revelação, Sech cantou seu hit Relación e, em um outro momento, concedeu uma entrevista onde falou da importância dos Movimentos Negros e do Black Lives Matter. Abaixo, sua apresentação.

 

Os vencedores

Apesar de todos ficarmos ansiosos para vermos as performances dos nossos artistas preferidos, é a hora em que se anunciam os grandes vencedores da noite que todos aguardam. Sendo o gênero que mais cresce mundialmente nos últimos anos, obviamente o reggaeton dominou a premiação. Daddy Yankee mostrou que depois de tantos anos continua sendo o líder, mas que agora terá que dividir a coroa: o cantor empatou em número de prêmios com o conterrâneo porto-riquenho Bad Bunny. Cada um levou sete troféus pra casa, porém o jovem Benito acabou ganhado o principal, de Artista do Ano. A colombiana Karol G levou o de melhor artista feminina pra casa, vencendo a espanhola Rosalía. A participação de artistas europeus na competição é questionada por alguns fãs, que acreditam que a premiação deveria ser inteiramente voltada para artistas latinos.
